We Italians are not chicken wings addicted: we like to eat them when we’re abroad but this is a recipe we don’t usually make at home. I think it is a great and versatile recipe, you can enjoy as a main or also for a typical Italian aperitivo if you’re looking for something different than the usual.
There are tons and tons of recipes to make the chicken wings but I also prefer not to go too spicy because I like to feel the chicken so I prefer a sweetest sauce to be accompanied with ketchup or also bbq sauce, for a kick.
This is my recipe for perfect chicken wings to be made at home, try it and you won’t be disappointed.
What you need for 6 chicken wings
6 chicken wings
120 ml of honey
80 ml of soy sauce
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
1. Eliminate the fluff from the chicken. Grate the fresh ginger and add honey, soy sauce and the spices. At the end incorporate the cornstarch and mix well.
2. Place the chicken wings in a Ziploc bag and sprinkle with the sauce. Put to rest for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
3. After 2 hours, lay the chicken wings with all the sauce in a baking dish.
4. Bake at 200° for 20 minutes or until the wings will not become golden. If the sauce is absorbed, after the first 15 minutes transfer the wings on a nonstick baking sheet and let them brown.
